Project Description
Traditional introductory biology classes tend to rely on large lectures, extended textbook readings, and laboratories, with little opportunity for the introduction of powerful active-learning environments, such as small-group lessons or complex problem-solving. In this project, we developed active-engagement materials for introductory course in organismal biology. These pedagogical reforms accompany the curricular reforms that organize organismal biology in a principles-based framework.
