Recitation activities II

BERG  > NEXUS Project > Development page

The modules on this page are intended as groupwork activities. Students work (preferably) in groups of 3 or 4 at tables with a common writing space (whiteboards or butcher paper). Teaching assistants and/or peer instructors (learning assistants) circulate and help keep the students on track. The assistants should interact in a way that permits the students to be in charge of the discussions that are developing. (See, for example, Advice for Facilitating in Tutorials.) These activities (except where indicated otherwise) are appropriate for a 50 minute groupwork session. Additional problems appropriate for groupwork can be found in our collection of homework problems.

These modules are also intended to provide connections between authentic physics reasoning and biological problems of real interest to biology majors. (Please note that these are draft versions and may be undergoing revision.)
