Reminders from 12-06 TA Training (redirected from Reminders from 12-09 TA Training)

Hello!

Here are your reminders.  Note that there will be a meeting this Friday at 1:45 pm for TAs (to discuss end of course logistics, etc.). (Does anyone want to bring snacks?)

1) Recitation: Temperature Regulation

Link:  http://umdberg.pbworks.com/w/page/62285007/Temperature%20regulation%20-%202013%20revision

(Break:  Pass back graded lab 5??)

2) Surveys (MANDATORY!)

All surveys are for participation credit.  (And the FMCE will not be 'graded.'  Students should try their best without worrying that their responses will detrimentally impact their grade in the course.)

THREE Surveys, in total:

For the Scantron:

1) Name (Last, First)

2) UID #

3) Special Code: 01XXXX  (XXXX = Section #, e.g., 0203)

4) Place finished scantrons in box, with no page/separator between sections.

5) Use #2 Pencils...

3) Make-up Lab (for 17 students)

The list of which students are doing the make-up lab and in which time slots is attached.  Keep track of the student attendance to these make-up labs--if they do not attend, it is a zero.  (Also, keep track of any additional students showing up to do he make-up lab.  Let them in and we'll sort it out later.)

For Tuesday, 2-4pm, I have Hilary and Jason and Zac (for the first 3/4 of the time) in charge.

For Tuesday, 5-7pm, I have Max and James in charge.

There will be no third make-up session.

As a reminder, the make-up lab is scored out of 10 points (for the report) and 2.5 points for participation (total of 12.5 points).

The video files needed are already on the lab computers (thanks, John!).  We will send a finalized version of the make-up lab document later today (and will make sufficient photocopies for the students).

Cheers!
